Rash I had a CT scan and three days later developed a poor case of hives. ?due to the iodine?

The hives created on my neck and arms but mainly on my correct hip. They got progressively greater and then became infected. I feel this could have been a delayed reaction to the iodine. If so I do not want to go via this once more. Have these symptoms ever occurred ahead of ? Even seldom? I appear to take longer than most to react to medication.
